Easy sauce, needs to chill at least 2 hours prior to serving
Ingredients
| 2/3 cup | sugar |
| 1/3 cup | brown sugar, packed |
| 1/3 cup | water |
| 2/3 cup | orange juice |
| 12 oz | cranberries, rinsed and picked through |
Steps
- Combine sugars, water and orange juice in a medium sized sauce pan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until all sugars are dissolved. Bring to a boil
- Add in cranberries and return to a boil
- Reduce heat to simmer and continue cooking, stir occasionally for 10-15 minutes until all or most berries have burst (watch for splatter) and the mixture is slightly reduced.
- Transfer mixture to a bowl and allow to cool for at least 20 minutes at room temperature.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving
Note
This will thicken a bit more after standing.
